Nora Wallace

Position: Marketing & Public Relations Manager

Nora Wallace serves as the Marketing and Public Relations Manager for Lompoc Valley Medical Center, where she helps lead the organization’s marketing, communications and community outreach strategies in support of its mission to provide exceptional healthcare services to the Lompoc Valley. In her role, Nora oversees marketing campaigns, public relations initiatives, community engagement programs, media relations and organizational communications that strengthen awareness, trust and connections between the medical center and the community it serves. 

Before joining the district in 2014, Nora spent 25 years as an award-winning journalist with the Santa Barbara News-Press, where she held a variety of reporting and editorial positions covering local, state and federal government, military and aerospace, education and community affairs throughout Santa Barbara County. Her journalism career was defined by compelling storytelling, community engagement and a commitment to informing and connecting people – attributes she brings to her current role. 

Nora holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, magna cum laude, from San Francisco State University. She is passionate about strategic communication, relationship-building and creating meaningful opportunities to engage employees, patients and community members. Through thoughtful storytelling and collaborative partnerships, she is dedicated to advancing the medical center’s mission and strengthening healthcare awareness and access throughout the Lompoc Valley. 

Nora supports the community in which she lives by through past and present volunteer leadership roles with the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), Lompoc Empty Bowls (Foodbank of Santa Barbara County) and the Santa Barbara County Veterans Stand Down.
